Digitalization of the AECO Industry in Angola: Analysis of the Level of Technological Adoption

Main Article Content

Abstract

This paper analyses the state of digitalization in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Operation (AECO) industry in Angola, assessing the level of adoption of digital technologies by professionals in the sector. The research was based on surveys conducted between September 2024 and January 2025 among members of the Order of Architects of Angola and master's students in Civil Engineering at Jean Piagt University of Angola. The results indicate a low level of knowledge and use of advanced technologies (3.0 and 4.0), showing that digitalization is still at an early stage. Strengthening public policies, technical training, and institutional cooperation is recommended to foster digital transformation and enhance the competitiveness of the Angolan AECO sector.
