Main Article Content
Abstract
This study investigated the influence of the social environment on the personality and attitudes of residents of Block 4 of the Sequele Centrality, located in Cacuaco. It aimed to analyze how socioeconomic conditions, family and community interactions, and the role of educational institutions impact residents' personal development. The Cacuaco Centrality faces significant socioeconomic challenges, which led researchers to examine how these factors influence the formation of its residents' attitudes and personality.
The specific objectives of the study were to measure the influence of economic and social conditions on the formation of residents' attitudes and personality, assess the quality of family and community interactions, and investigate the role of educational institutions in shaping attitudes and personality. To achieve these objectives, a quantitative approach was adopted, involving the participation of 105 residents of Block 4 of the Sequele Centrality. A structured questionnaire was administered to collect data on residents' personal perceptions regarding socioeconomic conditions, the quality of family and community interactions, and the role of educational institutions.
The results indicated that the majority of residents (77.1%) perceive a strong influence of economic conditions on their attitudes and personality. Furthermore, 86.7% of residents considered family relationships positive, while community interactions showed divided opinions, with 54.3% perceiving a negative impact. The study confirmed that socioeconomic conditions have a significant correlation with residents' attitudes and personality traits, and highlighted the importance of family relationships in personal development. However, it also highlighted the need to improve community interactions to ensure they have a more positive impact.
Based on the results, recommendations include the implementation of public policies that improve economic conditions, strengthen family and community ties, and enhance the quality of local education, aiming to promote more equitable and sustainable development for the community.
