Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of positive parenting on children's cognitive development, focusing on the Capalanga neighborhood in the municipality of Viana. The research was conducted through an integrative review, which will present both the theoretical concepts of positive parenting and the practical results of studies conducted on the topic.

Positive parenting, along with environmental and genetic conditions, plays a crucial role in children's physical, psychosocial, and social cognition. This study seeks to explore how positive parenting practices can contribute to cognitive development, addressing the implications of a healthier and more nurturing approach to child development.

Methodologically, the study adopts an exploratory, quantitative approach, allowing for a detailed analysis of the variables involved, based on data collected in the specific context of the Capalanga neighborhood. The ultimate goal is to provide a broader understanding of the effects of positive parenting and provide insights into interventions that can benefit children's development.
