Abstract

The fundamental aspect of scientific work, more specifically doctoral theses, is their contribution to the advancement of scientific knowledge and the provision of alternative solutions to educational, social, and scientific-technological problems in society.

This article resulted from documentary research whose object of analysis consisted of doctoral theses of professionals from the Republic of Angola in the field of Pedagogical Sciences at different higher education institutions in the Republic of Cuba, from 2012 to 2019, focusing on their scientific contributions.

Subsequently, we selected the doctoral theses that addressed the problems identified in the different educational subsystems to read their abstracts, contributions to theory, both in Pedagogical Sciences and in the Education System of the Republic of Angola, as well as their practical significance, current relevance, and scientific novelty.

The article presents the theoretical and practical contributions, scientific novelty, and current relevance of sixteen (16) doctoral theses, as well as the need to utilize them to improve the strategies of the National Staff Training Plan (PNFQ) and the National Staff Training Strategy (ENFQ) regarding the country's educational policy in the education subsystems: preschool, primary, secondary, and vocational technical education. The data were processed using two analytical approaches: one focused on scientific contributions and the other on contributions in different areas. The scientific contributions demonstrated that the research stems from the daily problems of professionals' work activities and addresses diverse and contemporary themes that propose alternative solutions.
