Abstract

Cholera is an infectious disease that continues to represent a public health problem in Angola, especially in the province of Luanda. This study investigates the causes of cholera in the municipalities of Cacuaco, specifically in the Paraíso neighborhood, based on data from the Ministry of Health. According to the studies carried out, it was concluded that the cholera outbreak in the proposed study area is caused by the combination of certain socioeconomic, environmental and structural factors. In addition, solutions are proposed that include improving water supply, waste management and health education, with a view to reducing future outbreaks of the disease.
