Main Article Content

Abstract

Oral expression plays a fundamental role, as humans, in order to survive, coexist, and interact, need it for their development within society. It is also the most common way to acquire knowledge and enrich their culture, stimulating personality development at the cognitive-affective, behavioral, and psychological levels. Difficulties were detected in sixth-grade children that led to the development of this research, which aims to address the problem of how to contribute to the development of oral expression in sixth-grade children at Vladimir Ilich Lenin Elementary School. The objective is to propose passive, independent activities that foster the development of oral expression.

Using different investigative methods, including theoretical (analysis-synthesis, inductive-deductive, historical-logical), empirical (analysis, documentary observation, and interviews), and mathematical statistical (descriptive and inferential statistics), it was possible, in the exploratory stage, to identify irregularities in oral expression in sixth-grade children. Furthermore, the teacher's development in activities to develop oral expression was valued, as well as the approach to mastery from the treatment of oral expression in the sixth year of life, the preparation paths that teachers receive and the spaces in the educational process where they carry out activities to eradicate the difficulties detected.
