Abstract





This research shows that teaching and learning process in Angola, at various levels—primary, collegiate, secondary, and higher education—faces difficulties related to curricula, teaching conditions, teacher training, methodological seminars on content development, teaching, and assessment, in a combinatorial manner with interdisciplinarity and new technologies. It is also observed that some teachers lack the financial capacity, knowledge, or even a device to access the world's largest library (Google), being considered archaic by some students who are already familiar with new technologies. Furthermore, the failure to adapt teaching to new technologies and to prevent students from accessing them is like stopping a caterpillar moving forward, from front to back. The objective of this research was to diagnose the quality of the teaching and learning process in Angola, in the city of Uíge, and to propose appropriate measures for its improvement, also avoiding the transformation of students into a robotic system, that is, responding only to the language programmed by the teacher of a given subject, knowing that the subjects are interconnected. However, to emphasize this research, a survey was conducted with 385 academics, 100% of whom concluded that it is necessary to adapt teaching to new technologies and interdisciplinary programming; and 100% concluded that it is necessary to value student knowledge. Therefore, interdisciplinary planning is an innovative action in promoting a new pedagogical approach, in promoting an educational action that dialogues with the context of diversity.
