Abstract
This research examines the contributions of the prophet Simão Gonçalves Tôco to education in Angola from 1937 to 1950. The aim of this study is to describe his contributions to education. Interviews and bibliographical research were used to conduct this research. Furthermore, the results demonstrate that Simão Gonçalves Tôco contributed to the defense of education in Angola, particularly in promoting continuous, inclusive, and egalitarian schooling, as well as in educating Angolans about self-determination. Finally, the research is justified by its relevance, as it will allow Angolan society to recognize Simão Gonçalves Tôco's contributions to education.
