Main Article Content
Abstract
The objective of this scientific article is to understand the challenges of education in the 21st century, as well as the use of information technologies in education, with an emphasis on the Internet, analyzing the history of education, learning, and didactics. Inclusion, or rather, the possibility of integrating technologies into the classroom, considering the demands of the 21st-century teacher and student profile, remains an underexplored reality today, for several reasons that will be detailed throughout the article. The introduction of ICT in education constitutes both a new challenge and new opportunities, allowing schools to contribute to offering their students equal access to ICT, thus avoiding the generation of further social inequalities. It is essential to recognize that technologies are here to stay. They are not merely a didactic tool, but represent a new concept that encompasses resources, learning spaces, and interactive tools for the development of teaching-learning processes in the 21st century.
